#5 Synopsis
My concept for this assignment is to create a Ready-To-Wear capsule collection that follows the classic hourglass silhouette and yet is fun, young and free spirited. The previous collection was based on the childhood ups and downs of playgrounds and falling off of them. The designs had either over exaggerated protective padding or exposed weak points on the body, this collection will have these elements but as the clothes are R-T-W the “protections” need to be less obvious. I want this collection to be young but suit an age group up to about 30, something that younger girls will want to buy with their mothers but also something that women will want to wear. By the time this collection is finished I want to have a cohesive and timeless range of outfits the clearly communicate a sense of protection verse exposure.

#4 Target Market Magazine
NO Magazine is a New Zealand production that is aimed at an age group from about 18 and over. While it has some great photographs and fashion shoots it also has really interesting articles and people profiles. This is the sort of magazine that I could imagine the line in for fashion but also something that the target market would read.
These shoots are from NO and are shot by Karen Inderbitzen-Waller. Karen is a photographer from Auckland, she has a dark styling in her pictures which creates this beautiful collision between glamour (the clothes) and grunge (make-up, hair, set, light, model).
